To The Sea

To the sea…

To the Sea the sand falls,

The sand a soft cushion of white turns to slosh in sea foam

Some of the sand sneaks to rocks escaping the sea birth

To the Sea the rocks trail,

The rocks by the sea wear the scars of sea salt

They are shaped and curved by the waves of sea water

They create micro cosmic worlds in rock pools of sea patches

To the Sea the girl walks,

She follows the path of the rocks carefully to sea edge

Each step crackles wet and hard on her bare feet and sea legs

The breeze blows her hair and clothes with a fresh sea smell

The on the edge she looks to the horizon to where the sea breaks

The Sea goes to the sky marking the fortress of the golden coast

She sees infinite possibilities way up in high in the big blue cloudless sky

But still she returns,

To the Sea.
